Coronavirus (COVID-19) 3 Month Mortgage Payment Deferral Support
We understand that many people are concerned about their finances at the moment and in particular, meeting their monthly mortgage payments.
The FCA guidance recommends that if you are able to maintain your mortgage payments you should do so, and only seek support where absolutely necessary. Remember, having a payment deferral will increase your monthly mortgage payments and the overall amount you will have to repay.

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions you may find useful;
1. I have not had a mortgage payment deferral before, but I think I need one now.
If you are experiencing or reasonably expect to experience payment difficulties as a result of coronavirus, and you have not yet had a mortgage payment deferral, then please contact us by email on firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone us on 01792 739110 to request a mortgage payment deferral of up to 3 months. 2. I have previously taken a 3 - month mortgage payment deferral and think I need another one.
If you have previously taken a 3 - month mortgage payment deferral, and may even have started to make repayments, you still may be entitled to apply for a further mortgage payment deferral, providing you will have taken no more than 6 months payment deferral in total. You must apply before the 31st March 2021 to be eligible.
You will need to supply us with the following information to help us understand your circumstances. We will need:
(a) A fully completed statement of personal details (Click here)
(b) 3 months bank statements for ALL bank accounts held.
(c) A letter/ email explaining your circumstances for requiring a further payment deferral.
3. I have had 6 months payment deferral and still need support in paying my monthly mortgage payments.
If you have already taken the maximum of a 6 month mortgage payment deferral, we can still support you by offering you a more tailored solution, depending on your individual circumstances. This could include;
(a) A partial payment based upon what you can afford for a short period of time.
(b) A temporary change to interest only for a short period.
(c) A temporary further payment deferral.
(d) Extend the length of the mortgage term.

4. Do I Cancel my Direct Debit?
Please do not cancel your Direct Debit. If a mortgage payment deferral is agreed, we will suspend your payments until the end of the deferred period agreed between us.
5. What happens at the end of my mortgage payment deferral?
We will write to you approximately one month before your mortgage payment deferral period ends, and outline the options available to you. This will give you time to assess your current financial circumstances and make the appropriate arrangements to bring your account back on track.
